In early 2002, The Mayo Clinic installed a cast:stream presentation system at their Rochester, MN video communications studios. Having experimented with streaming media since 1998, demand for live and archived content has recently begun to increase.

"We were looking for a solution that incorporated high-quality QuickTime audio and video with synchronized streaming graphics from PowerPoint," explains Mark McGlinch, the Mayo's Digital Media Producer. "We've used cast:stream for three live conferences, including an on-location three-day even in Tuscon, AZ. I've found cast:stream to be extremely easy to set up and intuitive to use."
