Apple Computer found cast:stream the natural choice for forming the foundation of a communication initiative to train their field sales force around the US.

In 2002, cast:stream was first used by Apple as part of an aggressive 7-week program to launch Xserve, an advanced rack-mounted server deployed for a range of enterprise applications. This allowed the sales force to be fully engaged and trained on a sophisticated new product offering while avoiding the cost and time of traveling to meet at a central location.

Since then Apple, has deployed cast:stream for several internal and customer briefings, such as training Apple store and dealer staff nationwide prior to the release of Jaguar, Apple's latest MacOS operating system. For larger broadcasts, Apple often utilizes multiple moderators to enhance the overall program. This allows subject matter experts to present seamlessly from different locations and address specific questions that may arise during the broadcast efficiently and effectively.

"We use cast:stream for both live and on-demand presentations," says Donna Hendrickson, in charge of Apple Sales Training. "Our average audience size is 75 to 100 people on either broadband or dial-up and nearly all on MacOS X. It runs beautifully on the Mac, and has proven to be extremely easy to use." cast:stream marries perfectly with the Xserve to offer a turnkey enterprise solution for education and business.
